January 26, 2020 marked the 10th anniversary of the death of our son and Avery's twin brother, Ethan Noah. Just as it was both incredible and hard to believe Avery turned 10 last year, it is hard to believe it's now been 10 years since we held Ethan. To commemorate this time in our lives, we are proud to be partnering with Chai Lifeline to establish "Ethan's Gift," a program that will support families in the highest level critical care NICUs in the Chicagoland area. Ethan's Gift will provide funding for things like: lodging, parking, childcare, counseling, food and meals, home respite care, medical needs not covered by insurance and needs arising out of caring for NICU babies. The assistance we received from Chai Lifeline during and following our NICU days was essential to our survival and a gift we could never re-pay; but, in Ethan's memory, we are pledging to help provide the same aid we received for other families. We cannot think of a better way to honor our journey as a family - and Ethan's memory - than to give back to Chai Lifeline with Ethan's Gift.
